In practice, this means you will see the same technician in your school on a regular weekly basis. Our aim is to become a familiar and trusted presence — visible, approachable, and able not only to resolve issues but to explain clearly what is being done and why. Where appropriate, we will also suggest more effective or sustainable ways of working.
We also deliver staff training, either as part of INSET sessions or through one-to-one, deskside support. This helps ensure that technology is not only installed, but properly understood and embedded into day-to-day teaching and administration.
We recognise that education is not a one-size-fits-all environment. We work with the technologies, suppliers, and processes that best suit your school, rather than imposing a preferred platform or way of working. There is no requirement to adopt a particular brand of hardware or software, nor a prescribed method for raising support requests. We adapt to what you are comfortable with and support you in developing a computing strategy that reflects your school’s priorities and context.
Where third-party suppliers are involved — such as telecoms providers, local authorities, or specialist education platforms — we will deal with them on your behalf. Our intention is to act as a single point of contact for IT-related matters, removing the burden from school staff and avoiding situations where responsibility is passed back to you to resolve.
Support is provided during term time and school holidays, and we begin configuring and preparing new equipment as soon as it arrives on site. This ensures new technology can be put into use as quickly as possible, allowing staff and pupils to benefit without unnecessary delay.
During OFSTED inspections, we ensure that an engineer is available — discretely— to support staff if required. This allows teachers and leaders to focus on the inspection and the delivery of lessons, without technology becoming a distraction or risk.
We meet regularly with senior leadership teams to review how support is working and to identify any additional requirements. As schools and technologies evolve, our service evolves with them. In the past this has included support such as the delivery of computing schemes of work, GDPR consultancy, and live remote teaching assistance. Our focus is always on building long-term relationships and responding to what schools genuinely need, rather than offering fixed or inflexible services.
